Underwater zoo – Dubai Mall
Next to the Dubai Aquarium, known as the world’s largest aquarium, is the Underwater Zoo, an underwater zoo with a large number of aquariums. You’ll find a wide variety of fish and animals, including seahorses, jellyfish, starfish, otters, crabs, squid, penguins, piranhas and crocodiles.
The underwater zoo is fun for young and old alike, and you’ll spend an hour on average watching all the fish. Do you have children? In that case, allow an hour and a half to visit the underwater zoo.
New to the underwater zoo is King Croc, a 750-kilo crocodile over 5 metres long. This crocodile is one of the longest and heaviest that has ever lived in captivity. King Croc was acquired in Australia because the crocodile was causing a lot of nuisance in a lake there. The underwater zoo is located on the second floor of the Dubai Mall. The underwater zoo sits high above the Dubai Aquarium, offering a special view of the aquarium. In the underwater zoo, you’ll find a glass floor where you can stand above the world’s largest aquarium and observe the aquarium’s many fish, rays and sharks.
Tickets for the Dubai Underwater Zoo
If you buy a ticket for the Underwater Zoo, it includes free admission to the Aquarium Tunnel, which passes through the world’s largest aquarium. From this tunnel, you’ll have a breathtaking view of the more than 30,000 fish living in the world’s largest aquarium.

The Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo are open daily from 10am to midnight, Thursday to Saturday. On other days, the aquarium and underwater zoo close at 11am. Entry is possible up to half an hour before closing time. Visits to the aquarium are free while the Dubai Mall is open.
