Deep Dive Dubai
Have you ever dreamed of diving into the world’s deepest pool? It’s now possible in Dubai, thanks to Deep Dive Dubai. With an impressive depth of 60 meters and a water volume of 14 million liters, equivalent to six Olympic-sized swimming pools, Deep Dive Dubai is officially recognized as the world’s deepest swimming pool as of July 2021, according to the Guinness Book of Records.
Unlike usual marine habitats, this pool has no fish, coral reefs or other underwater creatures. Its sole purpose is to provide a safe environment for diving training, coaching and initiation. In addition, firefighters and members of the army regularly exercise here. Freedivers who practice freediving without oxygen tanks can also train in this pool, benefiting from a safe, controlled environment.
Unique underwater world
Those who take a dip in the huge swimming pool won’t be bored. The pool is built like an abandoned underwater city where you can have hours of fun. The pool features a number of rooms to explore, where you can play table soccer, telephone or chess, among other games. There are also two hidden underwater chambers in the pool where you can surface at a depth of 6 or 21 metres thanks to the large artificial bubble created here. These special underwater chambers are ideal for relaxing without having to breathe through your diving equipment.
56 underwater cameras record everything, and the pool features an advanced sound and lighting system to make every dive unique. The pool water is permanently heated to 30 degrees and filtered every six hours using unique filters developed by NASA.
This unique pool is housed in a modern pearl-shaped building, a tribute to Dubai’s pearl diving past. In addition to the pool, Deep Dive Dubai also houses a dive store, souvenir store and 80-seat restaurant.
